On March 5th 2026, the former Governor of Maryland Robert Ehrlich endorsed Barry Donadio for Queen Anne’s County Commissioner in District 3. Ehrlich served as Maryland’s Conservative Republican Governor from 2003 to 2007.

Another huge endorsement for Barry Donadio’s race in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland for Commissioner of District 3. An area that encompasses the eastern part of Kent Island and Grasonville, Maryland.

Ehrlich’s endorsement of Donadio followed endorsements from Congressman Andy Harris, former Chairman of the MDGOP Dirk Haire and Conservative Republican Senator Johnny Ray Salling.

Donadio appears to be leading a strong campaign right out of the gate. Donadio was elected to the Queen Anne’s County Republican Central Committee in 2014 and successfully served a four year term. Donadio has served as the Sergeant at Arms of the Maryland Republican Party since 2017. In 2024, he received over 50,000 votes in Maryland’s 1st congressional district and was elected as an Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. He pledged his vote for Donald Trump to become the Republican Party’s nominee for President of the United States.

Barry Donadio’s objectives were clear when he started his “We Come First” campaign. He wants to put citizens of Queen Anne’s County first and foremost. Many residents feel that land developers and special interest take precedence over the residents quality of life. Donadio pledges to put an end to that.
